Felix Michael Galvan started dancing at the age of 9 in hip hop classes. He continued his education at Mt. San Antonio College where he became a member of the Mt SAC Repertory Company under the direction of Lee Martino and Amy Nakamura. It was there at Mt SAC where he trained under Lee Martino. and performed for her at the Ford Amphitheatre in an evening of Broadway Stars, in the Lyric Project, a showcase for today’s brightest new composers.  Other performances include The Palm Desert Choreography Festival  with Amy Nakamura and The American College Dance Festival. He later joined the hip hop crew Elev8 and trained under Wynesha Garner, where they would go on to win World of Dance Los Angeles in 2016. Felix has proven himself as a force to be reckoned with in the competition circuit. His choreography has won high honors, 1st overall and top act. Felix’s collegiate competition number was named Hip Hop Grand Champion at the National Dance Alliance Finals in Daytona, Florida for two years in a row. He was also named “Most Innovative Choreographer”. He was named “Educator of The Year” in 2024 by Act 1 National Dance Competition. He is currently a national director for BravO Dance Competition.

Isabelle Vigil, Faculty

Isabelle Vigil knew she was a performer very early on. She was always dressing up and putting on shows in her living room for her mom and grandma. She began taking dance seriously when she was eleven years old. She began training regularly in various styles and dancing on a team. Her involvement with her home studio opened the door for many performance opportunities including dancing in shows, music videos, and entertaining at local events. Isabelle is currently working towards a BFA in contemporary dance at the University of New Mexico, and dances on the UNM Lobo Dance Team. She is also a proud Albuquerque Dance Collaborative alumni.

Isabelle began choreographing on her own at 13 years old. She enjoys the creative freedom of being a choreographer. She has found that there is nothing more satisfying than people enjoying a piece that she created or took part in creating. She finds that the most important part of creating a piece is evoking emotion from the audience.
