Rebekah Martinez was raised in Los Lunas, NM, and began dancing at age 5. At age 12, she joined NMBC’s Junior Company. She was promoted to a company-level dancer, coach, and instructor at age 15, and remained for over 10 years. She attended the Jillana School, performing variations each year, and later returned as a counselor. Rebekah has danced in and coached many NMBC productions including The Nutcracker, Dracula, Coppelia, Spring Sports, Tribute to Our Founder, Don Quixote, Romeo & Juliet, Spartacus, and several spring shows; she has also performed in and choreographed for NMBC’s Choreographer’s Collective. Rebekah attended UNM and earned her B.A. in Contemporary Dance with a minor in psychology, focusing her studies on early childhood development in dance. She has taught various age groups at several studios throughout Los Lunas and Albuquerque, and specializes in preschool and elementary ages. Rebekah is grateful and excited to return as an instructor for NMBC.
