FALL TERM 2020 Updates:

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic and with current restrictions in mind for the health and safety of all, NMBC will offer both hybrid and online-only enrollment options. Hybrid students will take a combination of in-person and online classes (small groups may rotate on a weekly basis for in-studio classes depending on class sizes and studio capacity). Online classes via Zoom are available for all enrolled students and drop-ins.

COVID Safe Studio Policies

Enrolled students and parents should refer to the current Student & Parent Handbook for a full list of studio policies.

  • Everyone entering the building must wear a mask at all times.
  • NMBC will screen all students and staff for COVID-like symptoms on a daily basis before entering the building. Everyone entering the building will be recorded in a daily log for potential contact tracing purposes.
  • Students/staff with symptoms, close contact, or known exposure to a positive COVID-19 case must stay home and notify NMBC.
  • Maintain physical distance of at least 6 feet from others, preferably 10 feet when dancing.
  • Wash your hands and/or use hand sanitizer often.
  • Class start and end times are staggered to prevent cross-traffic and to allow time for sanitizing between groups.
  • Dancers must bring their own water bottle to every class. Food and gum are not permitted in the studio.
  • Until further notice, parents/family/friends are not permitted to wait or observe classes in the lobby areas.
  • Contactless payment is preferred. Choose a convenient monthly auto-payment plan or call us to process payment over the phone.

Tuition & Registration

Registration fee: $25 per family, charged once yearly for students who register between August and May. Registration fees are not charged for summer sessions in June or July.

Tuition is based on the total class hours taken per week, not the number of classes. Monthly rates are based on a 4-week month, and rates remain the same for short (3 weeks) or long (5 weeks) months. Tuition payments are due in full no later than the 15th of the month. Contactless auto-payment plans are available. Tuition is not pro-rated or refundable due to absence, illness/injury, withdrawal, or weather cancellations.

Level Placement

Level placement is determined by NMBC’s professional faculty’s assessment of several factors: technical ability, age, maturity, focus, consistent attendance, and work ethic in class. Class levels include creative movement, pre-ballet, ballet 1–4, pre-pointe, pointe A, and pointe B. Levels for other styles of dance (tap, jazz, lyrical, hip hop) will be determined by age and ability, and may not match a dancer’s ballet class level. Students may advance to the next level only with faculty approval and when they have completed curriculum requirements for the current level.
