Lyrical dance has a relatively short history and is based on the coming together of ballet with contemporary music and combination of jazz, modern and hip hop dance styles.  In this class, dancers will be challenged to blend ballet, jazz and hip hop techniques with emotion, musicality and individualistic style. While lyrical is a less formal or rigid technique than classical ballet, it still requires a strong ballet base.
